Karlovac collector of wartime insignia from the Homeland War, Karlo Subašić, owns a collection of around 1,000 military insignia from the Homeland War, 200 of which are from the Karlovac area.
Nikšić’s paintings Battle of Sinj 1715 and Victoria Victimae / Victory of the Victim belong to the genre of historical painting, which emerged in Croatian visual art in the 19th century, driven by the rise of national consciousness. Its development was largely influenced by political and social circumstances.
The exhibition was opened on the 243rd anniversary of the issuance of the royal charter of Joseph II. You can view the exhibition until April 30, 2025, in the exhibition hall of the State Archives in Karlovac.
