Hostel Bedem is located in the historical center of Karlovac – the “Star”. Situated in the very center of the town, near the bus and train stations, it is connected by a beautiful promenade with arboretum and parks along the river Korana.
Completely renovated and modernly equipped building of the former Josip Jelaćić barracks from the 19th century has been transformed into the most modern student dormitory in Croatia, which becomes a hostel in the period from 1th July till 1th October.
Location
In the vicinity of the hostel there are numerous cafes, shops, children’s playgrounds, Foginovo beach on the river Korana, theatre, city museum, freshwater aquarium Aquatika, and arboretum.
Capacity
The capacity of the hostel is 149 beds in 58 accommodation units: 25 double and 33 triple rooms.
Rooms and Beds
All rooms are modernly equipped with an en suite bathroom, air conditioning and electricity management system, and an LCD TV. Each floor has a communal living room and kitchenette, and a large secured parking is provided for all guests who arrive by cars or buses.
